Normal skin type
Normal skin is a skin that is stable and balanced by itself, in levels of moisture content, skin pores and oil production. This type of skin has a well-balanced moisture supply and controlled oil level.
Oily skin type
A skin can be classified as oily, if there is a excess of oil production and no dry areas. This type of skin may need daily care for controlling excess oil production.
Dry skin type
Dry skin has a flaky appearance and oil production is very much less. Dry skin is more prone to environmental / external changes or damages and if no proper care is taken, it can lead to early aging appearance and various skin diseases.
Sensitive skin type
Skin tends to become sensitive sometimes depending on hormonal changes or usage of different skincare products. Skin can sometimes become dry, flaky or redness occurs with itchy sensation. Such skin that are much sensitive or reactive to either internal or external changes or both are called sensitive skin type.
Combination skin type
T part of the face (center of forehead and nose) is where most oil producing glands are located looks oily than other facial areas. Such skin types are classified combination where some areas are oily and rests of the areas are dry or normal.

The main cause of acne is the clogged pores. Those with oily skin type are affected the most, because excess oil production ultimately leads to clogged pores.

Blemishes are appearance of any scar or a pimple that is unpleasing on skin. Skin that is more prone to blemishes has more oil production compared to other skin types. Hence the group of dead skin cells, clogged pores or excess oil ultimately leads to the appearance of blemishes.

Epidermis is the outer skin surface and below which is the dermis. Dermis contains tissues, sweat glands and hair follicles. Though skin dryness, is not considered much, it had to be taken care at once since, it easily makes skin appear dull, tired and soon it leads to fines lines, wrinkles and dark circles.
Fine Lines & Wrinkles
Fine lines and wrinkles doesn’t need any introduction these can be easily identified. The stretch mark lines running along the face are called wrinkles and veins like lines on face are called fine lines. The main cause of fine lines and wrinkles is skin dryness, exposure to harmful sun rays and aging.

This is one that is the most important of all the other skin concerns, because sun can’t be avoided totally and also over exposure to sun is harmful to body and skin.

Exposure to harmful UV rays creates free radical damages, the consequences of sun exposure are sunburn (Erythema), blisters, premature aging of the skin, retards immune system, destroys collagen, dehydration, eye damage, redness of skin, hot skin, itchy skin, tanning, wrinkled skin, dark spots and in extreme cases it can cause skin cancer.
Hence usage of proper sunscreen is recommended. Experts suggest using the sunscreen with a SPF of 15 or higher for best protection.
Oil is necessary to maintain the skin soft and hydrated. But overproduction of sebum spoils the look. Excess oil can also block the skin pores which leads to many other undesired skin issues like acnes and blackheads.
Excess oil on face is also produced due to a hormone called cortisol, the stress hormone. Oil control skincare products can be used to minimize or control the oil production.
